Our 24"Stainless Steel scoop is tig welded and is  made entirely out of 304# stainless steel. The mouth of the scoop has our duck bill mouth design with Perforated 1/2 inch holes punched into it for faster sifting. The mouth is made of 16 gauge stainless steel. The basket is 16 gauge 1/2" welded wire mesh. Wire mesh baskets sift wet or dry sand super fast. Welded on the inside of the basket behind the handle is a 16 gauge plate to ad extra strength to the handle. The  24" long handle is 7/8" diameter  and made of 16 gauge stainless steel. The handle has our 8" long comfortable foam rubber hand grip. Welded at the base of the handle is a reinforcing bracket for extra handle strength. Stainless steel construction makes this a great salt water sand scoop. This is a drag scoop just place the mouth of the scoop into the sand and pull the scoop towards you.
